- Responsible for achieving room revenue goals.
- Responsible for seeking out new clients.
- Research competitors' products/ services and attempt to find a way of achieving a competitive advantage over the competitors.
- Examine market trends and conditions, and develop strategies to take full advantage of any changing circumstances.
- Analyze sales statistics to determine business growth potential. Manage the segment profit/ loss as measured by monthly and yearly financial reports and other related documents.
- Assign area responsibilities for the sales team. Establish performance goals for all members and monitor their performance on a continual basis.
- Update the competitive analysis for arranging packages, offering rates and promotions.
- Prepare sales contracts, promotions, packages and proposals, and maintain an efficient filing system for all electronic files and reference materials.
- Communicate expectations, assignments and responsibilities clearly and professionally to team members.
- Make daily sales calls within area responsibilities.
- Conduct hotel inspections for potential clients.
- Spend time with guests/ clients (in person & via phone) to determine if they are pleased with our service. Gather inputs to share with senior staff on where we can make improvements.
- Prepare and submit managerial reports to Chief Commercial Officer upon request.
- Prepare annual business plans, budgets and forecasts.
- Perform weekend Sales on Duty functions from time to time as assigned.
